I believe that there are schools one by one that demonstrate that we can learn more without exclusion. Even if we’ve done them without direct government intervention, many middle school classmates know very little about what it takes to make high school positive. I pray we will find ways to collaborate, to have a dialogue and get community and faith schools together. I don’t believe this would be the start of a successful faith change, of making a space for both to thrive and grow, but I hope that this book encourages schools to implement more open spaces — or at least, to develop institutions that engage or incorporate faith in ways that foster more of each person’s need.
